Motorised Water Well

Providing Clean Water in India and Bangladesh

In India and Bangladesh, millions of people are facing a daily struggle for access to clean, safe drinking water. Contaminated water sources are a major health hazard, leading to a variety of diseases and illnesses.

The statistics are alarming:

  • Billions of people worldwide rely on contaminated drinking water.
  • Hundreds of millions lack even the most basic drinking water services
  • Women and children bear the brunt of the burden, spending hours each day collecting water from distant sources.

A motorised water well can make a life-changing difference. By providing a reliable source of clean water, we can:

  • Improve health: Reduce the prevalence of waterborne diseases.
  • Empower communities: Free women and children from the time-consuming task of water collection.
  • Support education: Ensure that children have access to clean water for hygiene and hydration, enabling them to attend school regularly.
  • Boost economic development: Promote agriculture and livelihoods by providing a vital resource.
Join us in our mission to bring clean water to India and Bangladesh. Your generous donation will help us build motorised water wells and transform the lives of countless people.

Small well Bangladesh

  1. An electric motor is installed, which fetches water from the ground and stores it in an overhead tank.
  2. These wells are built near a Masjid which lacks a wudhu facility. This serves a dual purpose of providing water for wudhu and also providing water for the whole local community of 100-200 people. We also build the Wudhu platforms.
  3. Providing a water well in this way is a very good way of offering Sadaqah Jariyah.
  4. India – Motorised Well – £750
  5. Bangladesh – Small Well £500

Narrated by Sa'ad ibn Ubadah:
He asked the Messenger of Allah "Umm Sa'ad has died; what form of Sadaqah is best?" He replied: "Water (is best)." He dug a well and said "It is for Umm Sa'ad."

(Sunan Abi Dawud)
