Many orphans unfortunately fall prey to petty crime, child labour or human trafficking. The legacy of being orphaned can be poverty, crime and extreme trauma.
There are an estimated 200 million children worldwide that have experienced this loss. Many of these children will come from already disadvantaged backgrounds.
So losing a parent can mean that access to education, the protection of shelter, the sustenance of nutritious meals and the chance for a secure future all become an impossible dream. This is why the responsibility of care for the orphan falls on all of us.
Millions of children live without the love and protection of families, with nothing more than a piece of cardboard for a blanket and neglect almost guaranteed. No child should have to live such a bleak and painful life, but your donations can help elevate these children into a promising and hopeful future.
Instead of attending school, getting an education, having the opportunity to simply be children, and growing up in a loving family environment, many orphans have little choice but to lead a life on the streets, struggling to get by. With no parents or guardians and facing a life of difficulties, too many orphaned children are left deprived of love and care.
