At Blackburn UK Trust, we offer Aqiqah and Animal Sadaqah services, enabling you to fulfil this beautiful Sunnah while providing nutritious meat to those in need. We carry out your sacrifices with care, respect, and in accordance with Islamic principles.

What is Aqiqah?

Aqiqah is a recommended Sunnah, performed on the birth of a child.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

'Whoever wants to offer a sacrifice for his child, let him do so, for a boy; two sheep, Mukafaatan, (Two similar sheep that are slaughtered together), and for a girl, one.'
-Sunan an-Nasa'i

Muhammad b. 'Ali b. Husain quoted 'Ali b. Abu Talib as saying that God's messenger sacrificed a sheep on the seventh day for al-Hasan and said, "Shave his head, Fatima, and give the weight of his hair in silver as sadaqa."
— Mishkat al-Masabih

It is customary to:

•Sacrifice livestock (1 goat for a girl, 2 for a boy)
•Shave the baby's head and donate the weight in silver as Sadaqah
•Share the meat with family, friends, and the poor
