Don't Let Them Freeze
Last winter, storms tore through the camps in Gaza. Tents blew away or flooded, and children died from the cold.
A year on, a lot of those same families are still in tents, and the rain is starting again. Gaza isn't the only place. Up in northern Bangladesh the thermometer hit 6.7°C one night in January, and one district had 25,000 blankets when it needed something like 150,000. In Delhi, hundreds of homeless people died in a single winter. For plenty of refugee families in Jordan and Lebanon, the winter money stretches to food or fuel. Hardly ever both. This winter we're sending help to nine communities, from Gaza and Yemen to the Rohingya camps. We'd like to get there before the cold does.
Why Your Support Matters
Most of these families can't heat wherever they're living, and nobody has food put by for the cold months. Your money goes on the basics:
Blankets, coats and shoes, for the kids and the grown-ups.
