Afghanistan Earthquake Emergency Appeal

A powerful 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck eastern Afghanistan late Sunday night, causing catastrophic destruction. Over 1,400 lives have been lost, and more than 3,000 people have been injured. Entire villages have been reduced to rubble, especially in the provinces of Kunar and Nangarhar, where devastation is widespread.

Rescue operations are ongoing, with survivors still being pulled from beneath the debris. The situation remains dire and urgent.

The Devastation on the Ground

With limited resources and a fragile infrastructure, Afghanistan is struggling to cope with the scale of this disaster. The government has issued an international plea for aid, as thousands of families have been left homeless, injured, and without food, water, or shelter.

Now is the time for us to respond, to stand up for our brothers and sisters in their most desperate hour.
