Shelter for Gaza: 1,000 Emergency Tents Needed Before Winter

Over 1.9 million people have been displaced in Gaza. Tens of thousands are sleeping in makeshift shelters, exposed to freezing rain, wind, and life-threatening conditions.

Winter in Gaza Is a Death Sentence Without Shelter

As winter approaches, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is escalating:

• Most tents in use are torn, flooded, or unfit for cold weather
• Families sleep on the ground with no insulation or protection
• Children, the elderly, and people with disabilities are at severe risk

According to the UN Shelter Cluster, over 100,000 tents need urgent replacement.

Emergency Tents Needed Now

Blackburn UK Trust, in partnership with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO), is delivering 1,000 emergency tents to displaced families in Gaza.

Each tent provides safe, weather-resistant shelter for a family.

We are procuring two types of tents to meet different family sizes and needs:

• Family Tent: £250 per unit (shelters 5–6 people)
• Relief Tent: £130 per unit (shelters 3–4 people)

Tents Features:

• Waterproof, UV- and rot-resistant canvas
• Strong aluminium or steel frame for durability and quick setup
• Built-in groundsheet, mosquito netting, and mud flaps

These are not basic covers, they are emergency shelters built for extreme weather.
