Helping Families Rebuild After the Floods
When floods disrupt daily life, families can lose access to essential household items, and children can struggle to continue their education. In Nepal, Blackburn UK Trust supported flood-affected families in Nuwakot with practical relief to help them meet these immediate needs.
Working with our local partner, Social Development Committee (SDC Nepal), we provided emergency kitchen kits and educational supplies to help families prepare meals, replace essential belongings and support their children's learning.
Our work reflects a simple commitment: to stand alongside vulnerable communities and help people take practical steps towards recovery.

Working with Local Partners to Deliver Relief
Effective humanitarian support depends on understanding the needs of the people receiving it and working with partners who know their communities.
For our Nepal Flood Relief 2026 project, Blackburn UK Trust funded the assistance delivered by Social Development Committee (SDC Nepal), also known as Samaj Bikash Samiti.
The project supported flood-affected families at a holding centre in Bidur Municipality, Nuwakot. By providing practical household and educational supplies, the initiative addressed immediate needs while helping families take steps towards recovery.
We are grateful to our local partner for delivering this assistance and to our donors for making this support possible.
