At Blackburn UK Trust, we offer Aqiqah and Animal Sadaqah services, enabling you to fulfil this beautiful Sunnah while providing nutritious meat to those in need. We carry out your sacrifices with care, respect, and in accordance with Islamic principles.
What is Aqiqah?
Aqiqah is a recommended Sunnah, performed on the birth of a child.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
'Whoever wants to offer a sacrifice for his child, let him do so, for a boy; two sheep, Mukafaatan, (Two similar sheep that are slaughtered together), and for a girl, one.'
— Sunan an-Nasa'i
Muhammad b. ‘All b. Husain quoted ‘Ali b. Abu Talib as saying that God’s messenger sacrificed a sheep on the seventh day for al-Hasan and said, “Shave his head, Fatima, and give the weight of his hair in silver as sadaqa.”
— Mishkat al-Masabih
It is customary to:
Sacrifice livestock (1 goat for a girl, 2 for a boy)
Shave the baby's head and donate the weight in silver as Sadaqah
Each package ensures your sacrifice is done in line with Shariah, and the meat is distributed to the most vulnerable families, including orphans, widows, and refugees.
Animal Sadaqah (General Sacrifice)
Giving an animal in Sadaqah is a powerful way to support those in poverty. You may donate on behalf of yourself, a loved one, or as a form of gratitude or expiation.
All meat is distributed fresh to needy families in regions where meat is a luxury.
