Syria Emergency Appeal

For over a decade, Syria has endured unimaginable suffering due to a devastating war. Millions of innocent lives have been uprooted, with over 14 million Syrians displaced from their homes. While some have sought refuge in neighbouring countries, countless others remain trapped within Syria, battling daily challenges of survival amid economic collapse, destroyed infrastructure, and ongoing violence.

Syria Crisis on the Ground

The situation on the ground is dire. Children, who should be playing and learning, face hunger and trauma. Mothers struggle to provide food and shelter, while the elderly are left to fend for themselves. Amid the ruins, their resilience shines, but the need for aid grows daily.

Syrian Refugees Crisis 2024

Syrian refugees, scattered across borders and within Syria, face hunger, disease, and the harsh realities of displacement. Vulnerable groups, including orphans, widows, and disabled individuals, are particularly at risk. As a global community, it is our responsibility to provide relief.

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ emphasized:

"Whoever fulfilled the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs."

(Sahih al-Bukhari)

Supporting Syrian Families

Jazak Allah Khair! to the generosity of our donors, Blackburn UK Trust has been at the forefront of humanitarian efforts in Syria. Our initiatives provide immediate relief and long-term solutions to rebuild lives.

Winter Packs

In Syria, the winter can be deadly. Families face freezing temperatures with no shelter or warm clothing. Alhamdulillah, we distribute winter packs containing warm clothes, blankets, and other essentials to protect these families from the brutal cold. These packs offer a glimmer of warmth in the harshest winters.

Hot Meals for Orphans

One of the most urgent needs for Syrian families is food. Many children, especially orphans, are going hungry. We provide food packs to families and hot meals to orphans, ensuring they do not have to go to bed hungry. Each meal delivered is a step toward combating malnutrition and restoring dignity.

Hifz Sponsorship for Orphans

The war has robbed many children of their parents, but it cannot take away their faith. Through our Hifz sponsorship program, we support orphaned children in their journey to memorize the Qur'an. This program ensures that despite losing their families, these children grow up with a strong connection to their faith, a beacon of light amid the darkness of war.

Sponsorship for Widows and Disabled Children

The most vulnerable members of Syrian society, including widows and disabled children, often have nowhere to turn. With your support, we provide financial assistance and care to those who need it most. This sponsorship helps families meet their basic needs, granting them dignity and support.

Microfinance for Livelihoods

Surviving in Syria is not enough; families need to rebuild their lives. Through our microfinance program, we distribute garlic seeds to establish a sustainable source of income. This initiative empowers families to support themselves and regain a sense of normalcy in the wake of disaster.

Refurbished School

In Turkey, we refurbished a school to provide displaced Syrian children with a safe space for education. This initiative offers children a chance to regain stability, pursue their dreams, and overcome the hardships of displacement, giving families hope for a brighter future.

Water Well Station at Masjid Uthman

In Syria, we built a water well station at Masjid Uthman to serve the community with clean water for both drinking and ablution. This vital resource not only supports daily hygiene practices but also provides safe drinking water, ensuring the community’s health and spiritual well-being.

Shelters and Homes

The destruction of homes has left many families without shelter. We provide safe shelters and homes, giving families a place to live and a sense of security. These homes are more than just roofs over their heads, they are sanctuaries where families can heal and rebuild their lives.

Conclusion

Alhamdulillah, these projects are only possible because of your generosity and support. The Syrian people are our brothers and sisters, and it is our collective responsibility to help them. From providing warm clothes and food to supporting long-term recovery programs, your contributions save lives.

Our Prophet ﷺ said

"The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity."

-Sunan al-Tirmidhi

Every act of kindness, no matter how small, has the power to transform lives.
